Commercial relationships and editorial independence

Readers should be able to tell what is editorial, what is advertising, and whether a commercial relationship influenced a page.

Our digital products

The Site sells the $4.99 Plant Rescue Pack, AAD Plant Coloring Library, and printable plant tools priced on their respective pages through Stripe-hosted checkout. The publisher earns revenue from each sale after payment-processing and related fees. Product pages and related promotions are the Site's own commercial material, not independent reviews of a third-party product.

Purchasing a product is never required to read the public plant guides. Product sales do not change the evidence standards, conclusions, advertising boundaries, or correction process used for editorial articles.

Onsite product-link measurement

Some articles offer a clearly labeled, optional link to a related product sold by the Site. The Site counts article-to-product clicks, product-page views, checkout starts, and canceled-checkout returns in daily aggregate totals so the publisher can evaluate whether those paths are useful. This measurement does not add tracking parameters to product links, does not report payment completion, and does not send contact, order, or payment information. It does not determine an article's evidence, conclusions, or related-guide choices. The privacy policy describes the fields and storage limits.

Google AdSense

The Site may display advertising through Google AdSense. When shown, ads are labeled and visually separated from articles. Google's Privacy & messaging solution provides consent choices for eligible visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Affiliate links

The Site does not currently rely on affiliate links. Any future affiliate relationship will be disclosed beside the link. Recommendations will not be based solely on commission.

Products and sponsorships

Product reviews disclose whether an item was purchased, borrowed, gifted, or supplied by a company. Any paid placement or sponsored article is identified as such. Compensation does not guarantee a favorable conclusion.
